ABOUT THE PROJECT

This project was carried out in Marlow During 2015 for a repeat client, London and Central Securities,

They needed the building converted into 4 high end apartments with a restaurant on the ground floor, each apartment is 1250sqft, 2 bedrooms, 2 have balconies. All are served by a new lift.

Phase 1 of the project was demolition; we needed to completely strip the whole building back to a Grey Box state. This meant the architect and structural were able to carry out a comprehensive survey and design the building knowing exactly what was available.

Phase 2 we started by carrying out all the structural work which involved forming the new balcony areas and taking the mansard roof sections off to enable us to rebuild them with the new dormer locations for the top floor apartments.

The restaurant signed a 20-year lease so the new roof covering needed to be guaranteed for that period as a minimum.

We also worked with all utility companies to install 6 new electrical mains, 5 new water mains, 5 new gas mains, and telephone lines, this part of the project is inherently long winded and time consuming.

Then comes the fit out. Each apartment was fitted out with top of the range mechanical and electrical systems. The kitchens and bathrooms were chosen by the client and complimented the entire project perfectly.

The decoration was carried out by us in house with a local interior designer who furnished the show flat amazingly. Each apartment sold quickly, and the show apartment was purchased along with the furniture.
